19. and for the same thing that the Lord spoke to josh and myself in our personal devotion
It's really beautiful because it reminds us how
our Father is compassionate, rich in love and slow to anger.
Here is a snippet of my side of the devotion:
Luke 15:20 " And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him."
...... the part of the teaching which concerns us most is the return of the lost boy,
and the way he was received by his father when he came back.
He came to himself and saw his folly.
a vision of the old home came back to him and that drew him back.
The father was watching, and saw his returning boy far off.
He ran to meet him.
God is ever watching for the first thought and act of penitence, and hastens to meet the returning one.
we may be glad that this parable is in the Gospel,
for no one need ever to be afraid now to come back to God.
Indeed. Praise the Lord! God is so AWEeesome!
* i hope enjoyed this post, cheryl dear!
