Taken long ago. She makes the world's best dumplings!
Then it was off to Joshua's yeye's home just down the street. Yeye was very considerate, he came down to look for us cuz he was scared we could not find his place...but we smart! of cuz can find la! haha not first time mah.... appreciate his gesture thou!
Nainai greeted us at the door, both of them came back from woodlands...they went to pak torr.... haha so sweet right? at this age still can take bus, sit so long just to go woodlands for dinner.... Nainai started sharing with us sad but hilarious stories... u see, nainai has depression and heart probs. She takes lots of pills and it affects her memory.... she was hanging her umbrella on her arm when she told yeye, i think the guy over there took our umbrella.... to which the man replied, umbrella also got the same color one what! just then, yeye notice the umbrella hanging on her arm!!!
We laughed it off....but reality is both are not in the pink of health. i spoke with nainai and yeye in Hokkien..think there's like a mini break thru in my rs with them...cuz i dun usually talk much with them, dunno why ytd more chatty.... got to hear alot from them... (= guess what? they wanna watch 881!!!! haha so i told them, we'll bring the vcd and watch with them! then we can buy some snacks up too! Gonna be fun!
Ytd was also the day that we went into Changi Women's Prison for our Family Bonding Programme. Was quite nervous cuz Jin and I hosted and kick started it... but thank God it went well. A group of inmates came to perform for us at the end... they strummed and sung, You raised me up.....and they surely raised my emo levels up! so i cried a few tears and i tried to hide them, not so professional to cry while i'm workg lar..
It was really a very meaningful and well spent day. i thank God for everything and i thank God for blessing me with a partner that cares for our grandparents (josh was the one who visited, prayed with and for my grandpa while he was in hospital). I'm glad we can be partners!
