Mummy just called and asked if i closed the windows at home before going to work today, i told her i forgot and if i really didnt, then it would be too late for any damge control already. can image the dismay of her face when She said that Glenn and I always nvr practice what she tells us to do.... and that for the last 2 days i forgot to close my windows...
Good luck to me, and my wires and all my precious which are placed near the windows
I woke up feeling tired after falling asleep almost immediately which is so RARE for me. Falling asleep only to dream dreams that saps my rest ... felt tired the moment i opened my eyes. -Bleah-
I really like what my devotion is touching on these past few days. It speaks of the way of an eagle. The eagle is really a smart fellow..you know? During stormes Eagles know how to wait on the wind, and then at the right timing, to tilt its wings to soar on the breeze and soar above the storm, without much effort to flap its wings. The author exhorts us to be like eagles when we meet trials. To have that waiting upon God attitude when storms threaten in our lives, these very storms which might break us can lift us into the very presence of God.
Also the mummy eagle is cool too... Very much like her Creator. ( We all resemble Him in our own special ways, don't we?) She takes very gd care of her babies. Building them a fine nest and feeding them regularly.
Mummy knows when it is time for the babies to learn to fly.... she then destroys their comfy nest, takes them for a ride of their young lives and she drops them.
imagine.
but i'm guessing we often can identify with these babies, lost, confused and helpless. Wondering why Daddy is allowing to go thru such seemingly "wu(2)wei(4)" trials and sufferings and worse.. He seems absent... but you see my dear friends that Daddy isnt like this.
Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, "My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God"? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.
The author goes on to affirm that when God allows storms in our lives, it is because He wants to develop Christ-likeness in us. Funny how often i've let this precious truth brush me by and let despair, panic and the lies of the evil one dictate my response and attitude. Our attitude matters the entire universe. well.. perhaps nt so much... Christ's redemption matters more la... but if whenever we meet storms we get short-sighted, then we miss the joy of knowing Christ more in His sufferings and hence more unable to glory in Him as well. For " ... since we are his children, we will share his treasures--for everything God gives to his Son, Christ, is ours, too. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later"
God really knows.... On wednesday i bought too much bread for breakfast and so i tried to offer it in office, using that He gave my colleague and i a chance to talk and share... and then my colleague just opened up to me! So i ask if we can pray together and used what i read to pray and encourage her, as a result, our relationship deepen! thankyou Lord! i wonder if it is the Lord's way of showing me that my time here is not up yet.....
